Earlier this week, Amazon announced several new features that leverages machine learning for its Amazon Web Services.

The company had recently been pushing to take a dominant position in Silicon Valley’s AI race. With the newly introduced features, AWS customers will now be able to “train” their own AI algorithms, build apps that can translate languages in real time, conduct video analysis, or scan text for trends.

It is said that compared to Apple and Facebook’s AI technologies, small startups and less-tech savvy customers may find Amazon’s offerings to be more suitable.
