An official from The Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP) said that investments in the call center industry in the Philippines fell on the first quarter of 2017 as compared to the same period last year.

Jojo Uligan, CCAP president indicated that the change of leadership and global changes in the digital world may have caused a shift in some industries, but is not directly responsible for the drop. He added that the Philippines is still the largest call center industry in the region, and is still growing and continuously hiring.

CCAP is now closely working with the government in exploring ways to continue the growth of the call center industry in the country , said Uligan.
