Netflix Bug Bounty Program Goes Public

Netflix announced this week that it has made its bug bounty program public and is inviting researchers all around the world to participate. The streaming service said in a Medium post that the program will be hosted on the Bugcrowd platform and researchers can earn anywhere between $100 to $15,000 per flaw. Netflix had been accepting flaw reports for the last five years from researchers and ethical hackers through their private bug bounty program and responsible disclosure setups. The company says around 190 bugs had already been reported and resolved since 2013. Source: ZDNet

YouTube recently announced that it will be changing its policies and developing sanctions to deal with video makers who produce egregious content that damage the reputation of the platform. Influencer platform IndaHash will soon roll out a cryptocurrency which can be used to pay social media movers instead of cash. With around 300,000 users around the world, the company’s co-founder Barbara Soltysinska said that they want to create a revolution by “tokenizing” the influencer marketing world. She added that the use of digital currency will solve a wide range of issues influencers, brands, and fan bases face, such as 30 to 60 day payment terms.
