Last Friday, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg announced that news from “trustworthy” outlets will be shown first in the platform’s social media posts.

The Facebook chief executive also revealed that Facebook will be using surveys to determine the trustworthiness of a particular news source.

The move is in line with the company’s recent efforts against sensationalism and misinformation. Facebook, along with Google, Twitter and other tech giants, had been receiving pressure from  governments around the world to take greater steps in addressing the problem of fake news and extremism on their platforms.
