Washington State recently signed a law that directly opposes the rollback of net neutrality rules which had been proposed by the FCC. It is said that 20 other states are also considering similar laws.

Washington State governor Jay Inslee said that the law allows the free flow of information and ideas in one of the greatest demonstrations of free speech in US history.

However, it is said that internet service providers may have to have a different set of policies in Washington compared to other states because of the decision.

The FCC has yet to issue a response on the matter.
