Last Thursday, Nissan Canada’s finance business said that sensitive information of 1.13 million of its customers may have been compromised.
Nissan said that details of Nissan Canada Finance (NCF) and INFINITI Financial Services Canada, such as the customer’s name, address, vehicle make and model, vehicle identification number (VIN), credit score, loan amount and monthly payment may have been leaked.
The authorities, as well as privacy regulators and data security experts have been involved in the investigate into the incident. The NCF added that customers outside of Canada may not have been affected.
