AI-Powered Google Lens Now Able to Recognize Over a Billion Items

In its recent blogpost, Google announced that its AI-powered camera tool, Google Lens, can now identify over a billion things.

The tool, which was first launched in 2017, is capable of scanning and recognizing images via its app or through the Lens. The search company revealed that Google Lens was able to recognize a billion items by scanning products on Google Shopping. However, it can also recognize people, Wi-Fi network names, and geometric shapes, create a contact from a business card or identify a landmark and more.
