Best Buy to Stop Selling Huawei Devices

It was reported earlier this week that consumer electronics chain Best Buy has decided to stop selling Huawei smartphones which may be due to the escalating trade war between the US and China.

Best Buy is reportedly the Chinese phone maker’s biggest distribution partner in the US. Prior to being dumped by Best Buy, Huawei had already been shut out by US carriers after being flagged as a security concern by the US government.

It was noted though, that Huawei had never been able to gain a significant foothold in the US market, and the company is likely focusing on dominance in the rest of the world. Best Buy, on the other hand, may have made the decision to avoid getting caught in political issues.
