Fortnite Chief Calls Google “Irresponsible” For Revealing Game Bug

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney said this week that Google had acted irresponsibly for revealing a bug affecting the Android version of their games. Google publicly disclosed last week that it was possible to hijack the game’s installation software to load malware. Sweeney slammed the company for not delaying the disclosure until the update and said that the search giant did it on purpose for publicity. Tencent Shares Fall After Chinese Regulators Block Sales of “Monster Hunter”

Tencent shares fell more than 3% last Tuesday after it was announced that the tech giant will not be able to sell a hugely popular game called “Monster Hunter: World” on its WeGame distribution platform. Chinese regulators reportedly banned the game for not meeting regulatory requirements. However, a source close to the matter said that the removal was due to bureaucratic infighting with the country’s new regulator. Netflix Bug Bounty Program Goes Public

Netflix announced this week that it has made its bug bounty program public and is inviting researchers all around the world to participate. The streaming service said in a Medium post that the program will be hosted on the Bugcrowd platform and researchers can earn anywhere between $100 to $15,000 per flaw. Netflix had been accepting flaw reports for the last five years from researchers and ethical hackers through their private bug bounty program and responsible disclosure setups.
