Chinese Hackers Have Stolen Data from Apple, Amazon, Bloomberg Says

Bloomberg said this week that Apple and Amazon are some of the US companies and agencies that Chinese spies have recently exfiltrated data from.

The news agency said that they found in a year-long investigation, the data had been stolen using tiny chips implanted on server circuit boards manufactured by a company called Super Micro Computer. The chips reportedly gave Beijing access to 30 large firms and federal agencies.

However, Amazon, Apple, and Super Micro Computer said that Bloomberg’s claims were untrue. Apple in particular, strongly rejected the report, saying that there was no evidence to support the allegations.
