Chinese State Hackers Attack HP, IBM
0 comments
Sources revealed this week that state-backed Chinese hackers had reportedly breached the networks of Hewlett Packard and IBM, as well as the clients of the two companies
The US and UK said that the attacks were part of a Chinese campaign known as Cloudhopper where infected technology service providers are used to steal secrets from their clients. While cybersecurity firms had already known about the campaign since 2017, they did not disclose the names of the companies that that had been compromised.
However, IBM said that they did not find any evidence that sensitive corporate data had been compromised. Likewise, Hewlett Packard Enterprise said that it could not comment on the reports.
