Delhi Police Acquire Cloud-Hacking Tech

The Delhi police is reportedly set to acquire a program that will allow it to extract data from cloud-based storage systems of suspects involved in official investigations.

The software, called Cloud Analysis, will be used by Special Cell’s cyber unit and the economic offences wing, but senior officials assured that it won’t be used to snoop and will only be used on devices and accounts under investigation.

It is said that the software will be able to extract data from services like Google Drive, Apple’s iCloud, and potentially from Dropbox, Flickr, OneDrive, and SkyDive.
