Facebook Expected Disclose Declining EU Numbers in Latest Report
Investors are reportedly bracing themselves as Facebook is expected to report further declining user numbers in Europe as its most profitable markets show saturation despite worldwide growth.
Deutsche Bank analysts point at the GDPR and the firm’s latest breach as the main reasons behind the declining numbers in Facebook’s most profitable region outside of North America.
It was also reported that there had been a million less users in Europe logging in July, and last quarter was the slowest ever recorded growth for Facebook.
Facebook will also give an estimate on how much it will be spending next year, particularly on moderators, server and telecoms equipment which have limited profit growth.
