Facebook Removes Posts by Russian “Troll Factory”

Facebook said last Tuesday that it had deleted hundreds of accounts and pages linked to a Russian “troll factory” which, according to the US government, is responsible for fake post intended to sway public opinion during the 2016 US election.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that they have removed articles and pages associated with the Russia-based Federal News Agency (FAN) which was found to be technologically and structurally intertwined with the Internet Research Agency.

The social network said that IRA had made numerous posts and pages that were pro-Trump, pro-border security, anti-police violence against minorities, and similar topics.
