
Facebook Rolls Out “Downvotes” to More Users

Facebook has reportedly rolled out a Reddit-style downvote button to a larger number of users in order to improve the quality of comments on its platform.
A Facebook spokesperson further clarified that the move had been prompted by users requesting for better public discussions and spaces where differing opinions can contribute to a more constructive dialogue. The test currently being run in New Zealand allows people to upvote or downvote comments on public Page posts.
Despite already having the “reactions” feature, it is said that Facebook is adopting the downvote feature which is integral to the success of Reddit.
