Google to Roll Out New Election Ad Policies in Europe

Google said this week that it will be introducing new policies governing election ads in Europe ahead of the elections which will take place in spring.


The new policies will require advertisers to submit an application and receive verification before they can pay for political ads.


The search giant will also be publishing an EU transparency report and a searchable ad library, to provide more information on election ad buyers, the costs of the ads, and to whom they are targeted.
