Hackers breached the cryptocurrency platform Poly Network and stole cryptocurrency with an aggregate value of $613 million on August 10.
Poly Network’s platform allows users to transfer or exchange cryptocurrency between different blockchains.
The stolen tokens include Ethereum (ETH), Binance Coins (BNB), and USD Coins (USDC). Poly Network found that the hackers exploited a vulnerability between contract calls.
Poly Network communicated with the hackers and urged them to return the stolen assets. As of August 12, a total of $342 million assets were returned.
Poly Network issued a statement, saying the team has been working hard on fully recovering the user assets: here
