Huawei Expects Revenue 21 Percent Increase in 2018

Huawei chairman Guo Ping announced this week that the company is expecting a 21 percent increase to $109 billion in revenue for 2018

Despite strict scrutiny in the US and bans in several countries, the Chinese telecoms giant had secured more than 25 commercial contracts around the world, according to the chairman. Huawei also said that it may ship over 200 million smartphones this year.

The earnings increase report comes amid international pressure from US and its allies, and issues involving the arrest of one of the company’s top executives who was accused of bank fraud.
