Huawei Faces New Challenges in France and Germany

Embattled Chinese telecoms giant Huawei has reportedly hit another roadblock in France and Germany as concerns over rumors that that the company is at the beck and call of the Chinese government mount.

French telecom Orange said that it would no longer be using Huawei to build its 5G network, while Deutsche Telekom said that it would have to review its vendor strategy.

It is said that the decisions were likely influenced by the shift of national market leaders such as US allies to exclude Huawei from building their fifth-generation (5G) mobile networks.
