Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei said this week that Apple is a company they look up to in terms of privacy practices and reiterated that Huawei has never received a request from the Chinese government to spy.
Ren also said that his company would rather shut down than cause damage or go against the interests of its customers.
The founder also said that since Huawei is not a public company, it has the leeway to scale down a bit if it is not allowed to sell products in certain markets. He continued that there will always be a future for Huawei as long as the company can feed its our employees.
