Huawei Wants Accusers to Back Their Claims with Evidence

Huawei chairman Ken Hu challenged this week the company’s accusers to show evidence to back their claims.

The Chinese telecoms giant has been accused of being a threat to national security since it is required by China’s laws to cooperate with the country’s intelligence services. Hu reiterated that there has never been any evidence that Huawei equipment posed a risk, and the company has never accepted requests to damage the networks or business of any of their customers.

The statement comes after the consecutive banning and warnings against Huawei by in various countries such as Australia, Japan, the Czech Republic, in addition to the initial actions by the US and Australia.
