India’s Intelligence Bureau: Delete These 42 Apps Used by China for Spying
A recent advisory by India’s Intelligence Bureau listed 42 apps that, according to the agency, are used by China to gather info on sensitive Indian security installations.
The DIG advisory instructed troops posted at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) to delete the Chinese apps including WeChat, Truecaller, Weibo, UC Browser and UC News, calling them a threat to the country’s security.
Prior to the advisory, the IAF also told its officers and even their families to avoid using Chinese smartphones and computers, on fears that the devices may be sending back information to back to China.
