Intelligence Expert Advises Canada to Dismiss China Threats, Ban Huawei

Richard Fadden, former chief of Canada’s Security Intelligence Service , recently advised that Huawei be excluded from the country’s 5G networks despite threats from the Chinese government.

Fadden reasoned that if China can resort putting Canadians to death to defend its corporate national champion, it may do something worse once the Communist Party gets unfettered access to Canada’s vital communications networks.

Meanwhile, a group of 143 academics and former ambassadors from around the world posted an open letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping last Monday, urging him to release the two detained Canadians.
