Kaspersky Labs in Talks with Australia to Prevent Ban

In its global efforts to regain trust, cybersecurity company Kaspersky Labs revealed this week that it is in talks with the office of the Australian Prime Minister in hopes of preventing a ban in the country similar to the one the US had imposed.

Kaspersky Lab APAC managing director Stephan Neumeier said that they had a productive conversation with the PM’s people to which they unveiled their transparency center initiative. They also invited the government to Switzerland where they can witness the project and the products firsthand.

The Russian-based firm revealed that their Zurich facility will be able to store and process information from Europe, North America, Singapore, Australia, Japan, and South Korea by 2019.
