PageUp, an Australian HR firm, had revealed that it had been hit by a malware attack which may have compromised the data of its clients such as Telstra, Australia’s largest telecommunications company.
The SaaS provider said last month that it investigated suspicious activities on its system and concluded that client data including names, contact details, usernames and passwords may have been affected.
Telstra confirmed that it was using PageUp’s software services and revealed that information such as date of birth, employment offer details, employee number, pre-employment check outcomes, referee details of applicants may have been included. The telco said that it will immediately notify affected individuals if any.
