Microsoft Challenges Data Scientists in New Competition

Microsoft is offering a challenge to data scientists in its new competition on Kaggle, which is organized by the Windows Defender ATP Research team in collaboration with Northeastern University and Georgia Institute of Technology.

 

The software giant is inviting the data science community to use artificial intelligence to counter cyber threats before they are seen. Participants will be using around 9.4GB of data collected from over 16.8 million devices to build their models.Using the dataset which has over 82 features or columns of data, the contestants will have to build a machine learning model that can uniquely identify a machine affected by a malware.

 

The competition, which was launched last December 13 2018, will award the winner a total of $12,000.
