Mozilla Adds Breach Alert Feature to Firefox

Mozilla said this week that it has integrated its data-breach alert service which it launched in September to Firefox desktop.
The service, which uses the database of security expert Troy Hunt’s Have I Been Pwned website, will now alert Firefox users for recent data breaches, and if their information has been involved in a breach.
Mozilla says that the browser notification will appear “at most once per site and only for data breaches reported in the previous 12 months”. It added that the Firefox Monitor policy is built around two conditions designed to encourage users to address password risks without creating alert fatigue.
