North Korean Hackers Cease Attacks Against US Industrial Sector
0 comments
Researchers from Dragos revealed last week that hacking group Covellite may have stopped its attacks against core energy services in the US.
The advanced persistent threat (APT) group that specializes in cyber attacks on the civilian energy sector, is said to have links to North Korea. The group has reportedly stolen intelligence on intellectual property and internal industrial operations, but lacks the capability to attack control systems at present.
While the researchers have observed that the group’s attacks on the US have stopped, it is still targeting organizations in areas such as Europe and East Asia.
