NYT: Hackers Target EU Diplomatic Communications

The New York Times recently reported that hackers were able to target the European Union’s diplomatic communications for several years where thousands of messages that referenced a range of subjects from US President Donald Trump to global trade were intercepted.
One expert said the methods used by the hackers had a lot of similarities to those used by the Chinese military.
The intercepted diplomatic cables revealed that the July’s meeting between Mr Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin had been “successful (at least for Putin)”. Another message quoted China’s Xi as saying that they “would not submit to bullying” from Washington “even if a trade war hurt everybody”.
