PH, SG Renew MoU on Digital Cooperation
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) for digital cooperation between the Philippines and Singapore last September 7, 2022.
According to DICT Secretary Ivan Uy, the signing of the MoU comes at the most opportune time as the country gears up to welcome foreign investors by improving connectivity, amping up the digital workforce, and integrating e-governance in government services. Under the MoU, the Philippines and Singapore will collaborate in areas of Digital Connectivity, Scam Calls and Short Message Services (SMS), Personal Data Protection, Emerging Technologies, Digital Government, and Cybersecurity among others.
