Race for Digital Ad Dominance in India Tightens Between Google, Facebook

According to recently released figures, Facebook is closing in on Google’s dominance in India’s ad market. The social network is predicted to generate around $980 million in ad dollars this year, while it remains to be seen whether Google can surpass its $1 billion revenue last 2017.

It is said that Google is pushing back with better ad-buying tools and localized services which are expected to boost the time spent by Indians on its services.

However, a local ad-buyer credits Facebook’s increasing success to its more user-friendly platform, even though the company has yet to create features specifically for Indian advertisers.
