Rolls Royce to Use AI to Spot Performance Issues
0 comments
Rolls-Royce earlier this week announced its partnership with a Chicago-based AI firm Uptake. The British aero-engine company said that it will be using Uptake’s technology to spot possible operational issues in its Trent engine fleet ahead of time.
Uptake’s artificial intelligence software uses data analytics and machine learning to predict the performance of complex machines for various industrial companies. Rolls Royce says that they will be using the software to possibly address problems affecting the blades of some engines used on Boeing’s Dreamliner jets and Airbus SE’s A330neo widebody aircrafts.
