Russia to Use Blockchain for Copyright Data
0 comments
Russian news agency TASS reported this week that an intellectual property court was recently able to test a blockchain network for storing copyright data.
Using a blockchain solution from Russian intellectual property startup IPChain, the court recorded a change in a group of right holders for the first time in a judicial area in Russia. IPChain’s president Andrey Krichevsky says that using blockchain could help increase interoperability in the copyright market, as it allows all information stored to be kept up-to-date.
Court representative Ludmila Novoselova also hinted that the their tech support will evolve further and all legal disputes will probably be settled online within five years.
