SEC: E-Services Launched for Agri-Businesses

In a Press Release by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on June 22, 2023, it was announced that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. officially launched digital services to facilitate the registration and monitoring of corporations, with a capital market initiative for more investments in the agricultural sector.

 

The e-services are the following:

  1. The Electronic SEC Universal Registration Environment (eSECURE),
  2. Electronic SEC Education, Analysis, and Research Computing Hub (eSEARCH),
  3. SEC API Marketplace,
  4. Electronic Registry Application for Market Participants (eRAMP), and
  5. SEC Check App 2.0. 

 

The launch was made during the celebration of SEC’s 85th anniversary as the country’s corporate registrar. During the event, the SEC also presented its initiative—Securing and Expanding Capital for Farms and Agri-business Related Modernization Schemes (SEC FARMS). The initiative will organize the requirements and procedures for agri-based companies in registering securities. It amplifies investment opportunities for Filipinos, may they be in the country or abroad.
