SEC Requests for Comments on Proposed Registration Statement Form for Agri-Based Companies Seeking to Register and Offer Securities to the Public

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) posted a notice on May 26, 2023, seeking views, comments, and inputs for the draft of the SEC Memorandum Circular on SEC FARMS (Securing & Expanding Capital for Farms & Agribusiness Related Modernization Schemes). 

 

The last day to submit input is on June 9, 2023. Such may be emailed to msrd_covid19@sec.gov.ph, mgfacun@sec.gov.ph, arbries@sec.gov.ph, and mtsposadas@sec.gov.ph. 

 

As provided in the attached draft, the SEC FARMS acknowledges that the expansion of the agricultural industry is pertinent to meeting the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 objectives of reinvigorating job creation and accelerating poverty reduction. Thus, modernizing agriculture and agri-business is necessary.
