Security Flaw Allows Hackers to Remotely Control Hot Tubs

Security company Pen Test Partners recently disclosed a security bug affecting hot tubs built by the Balboa Water Group which can allow attackers to find the location and remotely access the smart tubs.

Using an app which doesn’t require a password, the attackers can watch how the tubs are being used, control the temperature, pumps and lights just by a smartphone.

BWG said that they are will be able to completely fix the bug by February and pledged to roll out a more robust security as soon as possible.
