Trump Accuses Google of Snubbing State of the Union Speech

US President Donald Trump hit Google anew last Wednesday, saying that the tech giant did not promote his 2018 State of the Union speech in the same way that it did with Barack Obama’s speeches.

Using the hashtag #StopTheBias, Trump tweeted a video showing how Google promoted Obama’s speeches on its search homepage from 2012 to 2016, but stopped when Trump took office. However, Google responded that it did highlight Trump’s speech on January 30, 2018, though it was pointed out that the company did so a day after the speech occurred, according to a snapshot by the Way Back Machine.

The video tweet is the latest in a string of tirades the US president made against digital platforms such as Facebook and Twitter who he accuses of having an anti-conservative bias.
