Tumblr Taken Down from Apple App Store for Hosting Child Porn

The app of social media Tumblr had reportedly been taken down from Apple’s App Store for showing child porn, despite the lack of an official statement from Tumblr or its parent company Oath.
However, the websites help page later on posted a vague statement reiterating its zero tolerance policy against child sexual exploitation and abuse, and that they are working with industry peers and partners like NCMEC to actively monitor content uploaded on their platform.
The company added that they discovered content that had not yet been included in the industry database and immediately removed it.
