Twitter Shares Fall on Conservative Backlash
0 comments
Twitter shares fell 6 percent down last Thursday after reports that Fox had not tweeted for three weeks, raising fears of conservative backlash on the perceived liberal bias of the company.
The network apparently boycott Twitter after activists used the platform to post the home address of prominent news host Tucker Carlson, media news site Mediaite reported on Nov. 9 which led to demonstrators targeting Carlson’s Washington residence with protests and threats.
However, FBN analyst Shebly Seyrafi said that the dip is a buying opportunity, and people are just being overly alarmist when they say that the boycott is the first step in losing conservatives.
