A Cambridge-based innovation firm recently unveiled a technology which uses artificial intelligence to improve images and video that have been damaged or include obscured elements.
Cambridge Consultants said that their technology, called DeepRay, will particularly be useful in the field of autonomous driving, healthcare and medical imaging since it can outperform the human eye in scrutinizing still or moving imagery.
The firm’s commercial director for artificial intelligence, Tim Ensor, said that DeepRay is the first instance of new technology enabling machines to interpret real-world scenes the way humans can.
