YouTube Bans Gun Mod Videos
YouTube has reportedly banned gun manufacturing or modification videos this week, earning the ire of pro gun video bloggers who called the move an erosion of US citizen’s rights.
After YouTube had updated its policies to prohibit videos that show how to make, sell or modify firearms, a number of gun enthusiasts turned to PornHub and Facebook instead. Karl Kasarda and Ian McCollum of InRange TV said that they were not after the monetization of their content, but rather just a safe harbor for their viewers.
It is said that the policy change came after a video which showed how to make an air rifle had made its way into YouTube Kids.
