Twitter announced this week in a series of tweets that it had permanently banned the account of radio host Alex Jones and his website, InfoWars, from the platform for breaching its abusive behavior policies.

The ban came after a heated argument between Jones and a CNN reporter last Wednesday. The exchange, which Jones live-streamed on Twitter’s video service Periscope, showed him ranting at the reporter and slamming Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

The right-wing conspiracy theorist had already been banned by other tech companies such as Apple, Facebook, and YouTube.
