
Apple Removes 25,000 Apps from China App Store

Apple had reportedly deleted around 25,000 apps from its App Store in China, which amounts to 1.4% of the total number of apps on the platform.
According to state broadcaster CCTV, the aps that had been deleted had been caught selling lottery tickets and were offering gambling services which were considered illegal.
In addition to this, the Global Times also reported that Apple had removed 2000 other gambling-related apps and 500 more associated with the keyword “lottery”.
