Google Removes Crypto Ad Ban on US, Japan Exchanges

Google announced in a post last Tuesday that it has updated its ad policy to allow certain cryptocurrency exchanges to advertise on its AdWords platform.

Starting October, registered exchanges will be able to resume advertising to US and Japanese audiences. However, they need to be certified with Google for the specific country in which their ads will be served.

Facebook in June had already reversed a ban on cryptocurrency ads, but only for pre-approved firms. Ads for Initial Coin Offerings are still banned on the social media giant’s platform.
