Twitter “Ready to Question Everything” to Improve Platform, Says CEO
In a recent interview, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said that they are “ready to question everything” and admitted that he has not been sufficiently transparent about the goals of the company.
The statement comes after the company’s 7-day ban against Alex Jones, the popular conspiracist behind the website InfoWars. Twitter had been accused political bias that allegedly motivates its “shadow-bans”, or suspension of prominent right-leaning voices.
Dorsey also said that Twitter has a role in moderating some of the platform’s sharper edges such as political dialogue, and that he needs to make sure that people see the Twitter as genuine, authentic, and run by humans, despite what the output might suggest.
