Apple Keeps Silence on iPhone Charging Issue
0 comments
Apple has yet to respond to user complaints regarding the charging issues said to affect the iPhone XS and XS Max.
A number of users have already reported that their Apple smartphones refused to charge after being idle for a while. Some said that their devices will only charge if the display is woken up. Video blogger Lewis Hilsenteger even made a video where he tested nine iPhones using an official Apple power supply.
It has been speculated that the issue may be caused by a change in iOS 11.4.1’s security settings where the lightning port disables after the device has been idle for a while. This was done to prevent unauthorized parties from accessing the device using the port.
