Elon Musk and the co-founders of Google DeepMind recently promised along with thousands of individuals and hundreds of organizations never to develop or support the manufacture of killer robots.

In a pledge arranged by Boston non-profit Future of Life, the signatories also called on governments and leaders to push for strong international norms, regulations and laws against lethal autonomous weapons.

Tesla’s Musk, in particular, has been very vocal about his position on the dangers of artificial intelligence, saying that it was more dangerous than nukes. Meanwhile, Google also recently discontinued its partnership with the Department of Defense on Project Maven, saying that Google will not get involved in the business of war.
