Instagram Rolls Out Account Authenticity Verification Measure
Instagram launched this week a measure that will allow users to verify the authenticity of accounts. The move came after parent company Facebook rolled out a similar feature to help identify and remove fake accounts on its platform.
The “About this Account” feature will show users information on a particular account including the ads that it is running, its country of origin, and username changes.
Instagram users can now also use third-party apps such as Google Authenticator to log into the platform’s two-factor authentication measure.
