Facebook Apologizes for Removing Content from Right-Wing Page

Facebook issued an apology this week to US non-profit group Prager University for removing several videos from its page for allegedly containing hate speech.

The known right-wing organization, which publishes short lectures and discussions on topics such as “Judeo-Christian values”, is not an accredited academic body and has been criticized by left-wing news site Mother Jones for posting questionable and alarmist content.

Facebook reportedly backtracked on its decision, saying that they had mistakenly removed the videos. However, Prager University rejected the explanation and tweeted that the move was a deliberate attempt to censor conservative ideas.
