Twitter, Facebook Execs to Appear Before Senate Panel Next Week

The Senate Intelligence Committee said last Wednesday that it has invited executives from top social media companies to appear in a hearing where they are expected to testify on how their platforms are responding to foreign influence operations.
Senators Richard Burr and Mark Warner revealed that they have invited Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg, and Alphabet CEO Larry Page to attend the hearing which will take place on September 5.
